Our Simple 3-Step Onboarding Process

Submit Application

Complete our online application. A dedicated recruiter will reach out to you once your application has been reviewed.


Submit the required documents when requested to begin the qualification process.

  • Social Security Number
  • Driver License
  • Current DOT Physical 


Qualification

Your Safety Review includes:

  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Background Check
  • Drug Test Results

If you have a COL we also review

  • FMCSA Clearinghouse Report
  • PSP, Pre-Employment Screening

Onboarding

Once qualified, you will be ready for Orientation.


You will complete your onboarding paperwork. You will learn all about the day-to-day driving and the benefits that comes with driving for G S Tyler Enterprises. You will also learn about useful resources for the road and how to access the load boards and other related software. 

Start Driving

You can start searching for and scheduling your loads.

Driver Requirements

  • Must be at least 23 years of age, for insurance requirements
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Must have or be willing to get a DOT physical
  • Must have winching and strapping experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license; Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred
  • Must own a 3/4 ton or above truck


Experience: At least 9 months of verifiable truck & trailer combination experience with a 36-ft or longer trailer (within the last 2 years)


DOT Number. G S Tyler Enterprises does not sign on drivers with their own DOT number. Drivers do not need to have their own DOT number to drive for G S Tyler Enterprises. G S Tyler Enterprises contractors drive under G S Tyler Enterprises DOT number.

Truck Requirements

A 2010 or newer model 3/4-ton or higher pickup.
Dually preferred. Older trucks may be accepted upon insurance approval.

Qualified trucks, similar to:
1-ton– Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ram 3500, Ford F-350, 3/4-ton– Chevrolet Silverado 2500, GMC Sierra or Ram 2500, Ford Super Duty F-250.

1/2-ton and below trucks don’t qualify:
1/2 ton– Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150, Ford F-150, GMC Sierra 1500, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra.

Choose Your Loads Well

Some loads are more profitable than others. Do your research and choose the loads that will give you the best chance of making money.

Good with Dispatch

Being familiar with the load boards and creating and maintaining a positive relationship with your dispatcher is essential to being able to perform well and be efficient on the road.

Be Professional

Speak respectfully to team members and customers. Follow the rules. And, above all, always stay safe and legal on the road.
